Cinnabaran Ramship

Designed by a small and nearly unknown member race of the Coalition, the Cinnabaran Ramship was initially designed as a Pirate Boarding ship. The Cinnabarans, prior to the fall of the third realm, were initially Pirates and Mauraders. A race of Pyrokinetic Avians, likened to human "Phoenixes", they were known for violence and surviving on raiding other races than actively persuing a stable civilization.

When the Fall of the Third Realm started, the Cinnabarans besought the Coalition as thier only escape from the horror that was the IDI onslaught, the Coalition accepted them... despite their histories, all races and all help was needed.

The Ramship is centered around a central spinal length mounted troop compartment. Surrounding the compartment in the nose is sixteen spinal mounted weapons, all designed for a specific purpose... eight heavy ion cannons, and eight Charged Particle Lances. These are designed to punch through enemy shields, and then punch through the enemy hull to give the Ramship an open field of flight to ram the side of the enemy ship and embedd itself there.

The Ramship is a vicious, violent, and extremely effective boarding craft. Nearly the size of a corvette, the vessels are 'one use', and have no berthing. Geared towards detatching from a mothership, they ram the enemy ship, disgorge thier hordes of troops, and just 'hang' there until they are extracted from the side of the hull by tenders or even a shipyard. They are unable to extricate themselves once they have made impact, making it a one-way trip for the marines inside. For them, it's win, or die.
